Approaching history from an international perspective, this book – organized chronologically – uses a continuous timeline to make the passage of time and events accessible and clear. The book is divided into 20 chapters, each opening with a world map, and an illustrated timechart highlighting the events of that period, so that the reader is able to see at a glance what was happening simultaneously across five continents.
